Spring’s New Femininity: A Sweet Escape

Spring 2012’s runways saw a new form of femininity. Underscored by earthly realism and sanctimonious bravado, demure saccharine sweethearts floated across the catwalks like otherworldly creatures. Paris, the pinnacle of grandeur in RTW shows, showed escapism through hyper-sensory embellishments and ultra-feminine inspired silhouettes. 

Fashion Week’s Fashion Wars: Singing Old Hollywood’s New Tune

From Carine Roitfeld and Emmanuel Alt’s supposed ‘best-friendship’ falling out after the latter replaced Roitfeld’s decade long reign as Editor-in-Chief of French Vogue, to Karl Lagerfeld calling Adele ‘a little too fat,’ to Milan, London, New York and Paris’ dispute over fashion week scheduling, it seems like the fashion world has been constantly at war lately.
