A recent graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Emily Valine Gillespie majored in Communications and is carving out a career in journalism in a day-and-age when traditional newsrooms are collapsing around blogs, Instagram and social media.

Emily has featured the Twitter IPO, the phenomena of Snapchat, and is keeping pace with and reporting on New Media. She is proud to have pioneered and pen, #GirlBoss: Spotlighting the Enterprising Young Woman.
